Derq processes real-time video and sensor data at intersections to predict and prevent collisions. With 25+ deployments and e&/AT&T backing, it has moved past proof-of-concept.
The $6M is small relative to the infrastructure opportunity. Smart city budgets in the Gulf are enormous, and road safety is politically popular. The competitive risk comes from Siemens, Cisco, and Mobileye moving into connected intersection intelligence. Speed of deployment and government relationships will determine whether Derq captures the market before incumbents arrive.
