skrooge.ai Raises $1.85M Seed for AI-Powered Accounting for UAE SMEs

Dubai-based skrooge.ai raised $1.85 million in seed funding via SAFE notes. Since onboarding first paid clients in July 2025, the company has grown to 150 clients and $300,000 in annualized recurring revenue.

The platform combines software automation with human accountants, automating document collection, compliance checks, and transaction categorization. Funding supports product and engineering scaling.

The timing is strategic: the UAE's 9% corporate tax caught many entrepreneurs unprepared, and a federal e-invoicing mandate arriving July 2026 will further increase demand for automated compliance.
